Houston Food Bank needs volunteers to help pack Quarantine Food Kits for our neighbors who do not have reserves of food in the event there is a need. We will not allow any volunteers who are sick to enter the pantry.All volunteers must wear gloves and practice CDC recommended hygiene practices.We will ask staff or volunteers over that amount to go home We will not exceed 10 people in the pantry.These are older individuals and individuals with underlying health conditions, like heart disease, diabetes or lung disease We will not allow any volunteers considered "at risk" by the CDC.Wear clothing that is easy to move in and closed-toed shoes. Please review the available slots and sign up at. Volunteers needed to help with food distribution at Wesley Community Center's Food Pantry during this challenging time. Volunteers need Monday – Friday, 9 am – 3 pm. This will also allow Target Hunger to provide its clients with several weeks of food supply, limiting their staff and client exposure in the coming weeks. Pre-packing boxes will prevent people congregating or touching food when they come to the pantry for assistance. Target Hunger needs volunteer help at their warehouse (1260 Shotwell St, Houston, TX 77020) Tuesday, March 17th through Thursday, March 19th to pack boxes for their food pantry.
